Orthodontists You Can Trust
Dr. Griffin has served Northern Virginia for 35 years and still finds time to teach biomechanics and clinical practice at Harvard University's School of Dental Medicine.
Outside the office, he enjoys working out, equestrian sports, golf, and tennis. He also finds time to serve as the Co-Chair and Director of Racing for the Virginia Gold Cup Races.
Dr. Griffin served as the first Dental Director of the Fauquier Free Clinic (FFC), which he and other local dentists founded more than 20 years ago. The Clinic serves individuals who are employed but do not earn enough to afford medical and dental care and are not eligible for Medicaid.
Several years ago, the FFC moved to its new facility on Blackwell Road and serves more than 2,000 patients annually.
Dr. Errera is a native Virginian and has practiced orthodontics since 2004, when he joined Dr. Griffin. Dr. Joe participates in the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club and is a member of Warrenton's Spear Dental Study Club.
The Spear Club comprises dentists from all specialties who share knowledge and expertise, working together to discuss and plan treatment for complicated, multi-disciplinary cases.
Fauquier County Invisalign
Invisalign is incredibly popular with patients and orthodontists in Warrenton, Middleburg, and Culpeper and is the top alternative to traditional braces.
Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth gradually.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth.
To keep your teeth moving in the right direction, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for the next one in the series every 1-2 weeks, as directed by Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera.
The Invisalign system can only work if you follow the recommended guidelines to the tee! You should wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day throughout treatment.
If you neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede your results and add time to your treatment.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option. A free consultation with Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera at Griffin & Errera Orthodontics in Warrenton, Middleburg, or Culpeper will allow us to determine your eligibility for Invisalign.
Fauquier County Braces
Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools at Griffin & Errera Orthodontics. They’re made out of metal or ceramic brackets affixed to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.
These brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
Braces in Middleburg, Warrenton, and Culpeper are excellent for correcting complex tooth issues. Braces may slightly reduce overall treatment time since they can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments.
Braces don’t require some of the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, meaning Fauquier County braces are a cost-effective orthodontic option.
