Orthodontics for Children
The American Association of Orthodontists and our doctors recommend that your child get their first orthodontic evaluation at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age seven.
Your child's teeth have developed enough by this age to allow our expert doctors at Griffin & Errera Orthodontics to spot subtle problems with emerging teeth and jaw growth before your child loses all of their baby teeth.
The Griffin & Errera Orthodontics offices are high-tech, digital, and family-friendly. And your first visit is always free! Dr. Griffin or Dr. Errera will examine your child's teeth, jaws, and bone structure.
Before sitting down with you, we'll take photographs, scans, or low-radiation digital x-rays to explain everything your doctor should do, why we should do it when your child should begin treatment, and what it will cost.
Most children don't require orthodontic treatment at a young age. However, Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera like to see kids early because abnormal crowding or jaw structure can require an appliance as early as six or seven years old. Planning early intervention sets the stage for painless and very productive treatment later in middle school or high school.
Proper orthodontics will positively impact your child for life. Discount, improper orthodontics can negatively impact your child by creating a lifetime of problems with their jaws, bite, teeth, and associated physiology.
After Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera determine your child’s treatment plan, you’ll get all the details of what to expect, including all fees and costs.
We don't like surprises when it comes to treatment, and neither should you! You'll never find hidden fees for record-keeping or retainers. We include everything in the treatment plan that Dr. Griffin or Dr. Errera creates for your child, from start to finish.
Orthodontics for Teens
For teens in Middleburg, Warrenton, and Culpeper, the most common time for orthodontic treatment at Griffin & Errera Orthodontics is between 11 and 16.
Experienced orthodontists like Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera easily recognize spacing, crowding, bite, and alignment issues in this age range. Your teen's bone and jaw structure are also formed enough to allow orthodontic treatment to begin.
At Griffin & Errera Orthodontics, your teen can choose between Invisalign clear aligners, metal braces, or clear ceramic braces. Each of these choices offers unique benefits while transforming your teen’s smile.
Once you have a treatment plan in place, we’ll work with your child for as long as it takes to accomplish their smile goals. Every person is different, and so is every treatment plan, but the Griffin & Errera Orthodontics team will monitor your child until the entire process is complete.
Our patients and their families become our families. We care deeply about your individual goals and long-term health. We're proud to say that we've treated two and sometimes three generations of families in Northern Virginia.
Orthodontics for Adults
Most people think that orthodontic treatment is only for kids. Not true! Our doctors also specialize in treating adults with a wide variety of orthodontic challenges.
Perhaps you've always wanted straighter teeth or a properly aligned jaw. Maybe you grind your teeth, snore, or are a good candidate for Invisalign.
If you leave misaligned teeth untreated, you may have other dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. You may also notice abnormal wear on the surface of your teeth or that it's difficult to chew normally.
We can correct orthodontic problems at Griffin & Errera Orthodontics just as easily for adults as for children. Dr. Griffin and Dr. Errera can address these issues through orthodontic treatment, giving you a healthy smile you've always wanted.
Griffin & Errera uses the iTero® Intraoral Scanner to digitally examine every possible angle of teeth and jaws. You won't find this instrument in many orthodontic offices. It's state-of-the-art technology and allows our doctors to solve every potential problem and also craft appliances that fit you perfectly.
Our expert doctors use orthodontic forces to move teeth in the same way for both adults and children, and you’ll notice the benefits of your treatment in no time. Visit us for your free consultation and see the Griffin & Errera difference for yourself.
